Historic Arroyo Seco Ride
Cesar, my fellow co-worker and commuter and I participated in the Historic Arroyo Seco Parkway ride. The ride was going to start a The Gold Metro station in Pasadena and end at Union station in Downtown LA. As we arrived at the Gold metro station, we encountered a group of 4 cyclists hanging around a corner.

Since we didn’t see any other cyclists around, we figured that this was the meeting spot. As time passed by, we didn’t see any other cyclists arriving, what is worse, the organizers of the ride weren’t there! After 45 minutes of waiting and assuming that the organizers stood us up, we decided to ride. We were fortunate enough that a local rider knew the way and on our way we went.

Not being too familiar with Pasadena, I really enjoyed the ride. We rode thru places that I’ve never been, a parkway that I never knew that existed and it was a short 10 miles ride to downtown LA. I was really disappointed with the lack of organization and organizers for that matter, and the lack of turn out. However, we made the best out of the ride and that’s what ultimately matters.
