WTF???
I went to pick up a couple of items at one of the Big Cycling Shops (starts with a P). As the counter person was ringing me up, I noticed that the price of the items didn’t match the price of their Website nor the price of their catalog. I immediately questioned the prices and the counter person’s response was that the prices at their cash register are not in synch with the website’s nor the catalogs’. WTF????!! That means that if you walk in without knowing the sale price you will get screwed, majorly. I bought an item that was on sale for 19 bucks and it was ringing up at 39 bucks. A 20 buck difference!!! That’s a 24 pack of Coronas!! At least they were ‘honest’ enough to match THEIR own prices

I’ve run into this MANY times at that “P” store, as well as their sister “S” store, and I also suspect it happens with their catalog-only “N” store. My advice: check their latest catalog, then check their website and print off the lowest price before visiting the store. If you take in the print-out, they will sell the product to you for that price.
I agree . . . WTF? Shouldn’t a GIGANTIC operation like “P, S, N” (all owned by the same company in North Carolina) be able to keep all their pricing synchronized? When I asked about this, they said “Oh, well, the stores operate like separate companies than the website.” WTF??? Talk about a recipe for making customers angry and confused! Also, why don’t all the various incarnations recognize my “P” club card for the discount? This is what happens when one company buys up every major mailorder business in an industry. Who’s next . … Excel Sports?
