Woodstock 505 First Impression

Commutebybike.com lend me a Woodstock 505 bicycle to commute to work. RL and I decided to head out to the Fullerton loop to give the bike a try offroad before I ride it to work. Let me begin by stating that I’ve never ridden a hardtail off-road before. I’ve been spoiled to ride on full suspension bikes since I started mountain biking. This was a total different experience for me, as I started riding, RL kept telling me to ’stand up’ a lot. On a hardtail, your butt is the ’suspension’ if you don’t stand up.

So what did I like about the bike? It’s climbing prowess. I always heard that HT’s can climb better, well, it is definitely true.

One thing I wasn’t too impressed about the bike was it’s fork. The bike comes with a Manitou Axel, this fork was really stiff and left me with sore arms at the end of the day.

Overall, the bike left me with a good impression. I will be riding this bike to work soon, stay tuned for that review!
