Redemption and Respect
Being on the ‘Disabled List’ I was not able to race on the Annual Mt. Sac Fat Tire Classic. My good buddy RL and Priscilla, his wife, did happen to participate on the race. I decided to go cheer them on and take pics and video of them racing.
REDEMPTION
RL and I raced this event last year. RL had a very disappointing performance by not finishing up the entire race. This year he was determined to reedem himself and do good on this race. He indeed redeemed himself. Not only did he finish the race this year, he beat my last year’s time by 28 minutes. Although he placed 7 out 8 on the beginners category, this race is plagued by sandbaggers looking for an easy win.
RESPECT
I learned that Priscilla was interested in racing the day before the event. I told her to go for it, not to worry about the other racers, but to have a good time and have the goal of finishing the race. Even though she had a few difficulties with some spills and a flat tire, she did not give up and finished the race.
My congratulations go to both of them for participating and finishing the race. RL, I will be back next year and I’m planning to beat your time!!
