Santa’s da man!
My 6 yr old daughter asked Santa for a Tandem Bike. (not joking). She spotted a tandem once when we were at a bike shop, she was really liking the idea of me riding in the front and her on the back on the same bike. Well, we must not have been naughty because Santa delivered!
“Santa” scored a good deal on a KHS Tandemania Sport from RPM Cyclery. Since I’ve been riding KHS products, I’ve been pretty impressed with the quality and workmanship of their bikes.
I had to make some modifications to the bike. I swapped the handlebars, seatpost and saddle from a Adams Trail-a-bike. Still, my daughter can’t reach the pedals, so I will be ordering a Child Stoker Kit soon.
Regardless, we still wanted to ride around. She propped her legs on the downtube of the bike and away we went. What can I say? It’s TWICE the fun!!!!
