Rl has posted a couple of helmet/handlebar cam mount how-to’s at www.mtnbikeriders.com. He has used common items that you can find at a hardware store, he even used a blinkie to make a handlebar mount!
Check out his helmet-cam post here, and his handlebar post here.

I was checking out Consumer Reports’ Bike recommendations and I found this tidbit:

Wal-Mart and Toys “R” Us sell plenty of bikes from brands such as Huffy, Mongoose, Roadmaster, and Schwinn for $100 to $200. They seem like good deals, so why would we advise you to spend $300 or more for […]

Nick has finally finished the transformation of the Xootr Swift to a Fixed Gear Urban Weapon. He ditched the bars, saddle, rear derailleur, bar post and of course, gears. His final add on was some really cool bullhorn handlebars.
By the look on his face, he seems to be enjoying this cool ride!

Testing bikes is one of my favorite things to do. I get to ride different types of bikes like the Raleigh One Way.
The One way is an awesome commuter/utility bike that will appeal to those who love simplicity. There are no gears to fuzz with, and you can also remove the brakes if you […]

It is nice to see bike commuters making good news. It is also nice to see female bike commuters being featured a major newspaper. Most of the bike commuters that I encounter happen to be male.
It scares her to ride her bicycle to work. A vague prickle of apprehension follows her along Sunset Boulevard […]

Rl has been moonlighting at Jax Bicycles in Fullerton for awhile. I got a great deal from Jax when I purchased my Gary Fisher Cobia 29er. The guys from Jax are pretty cool too. They know their stuff very well.
RL also told me about a fundraiser that Jax will be conducting for one of […]

Sweetskinz is a manufacturer of tires that thinks outside the box. Their line up of tires is unique, flashy and they have safety in mind. The company is so cool that we are lucky to receive high performance prototype tires to test.
I put a pair of Nightwing tires on my K2 Lithium 4.0. […]
