KHS Bicycles Visit

RL and I headed to the KHS Bicycles USA headquarters last friday. The folks of KHS gave us a tour of their facility, showed us the new bike models, and introduced us to all the people that make KHS run smoothly and efficiently.
Vince Rodarte gave us a tour of all the offices; purchasing, sales, accounting and the showroom. We met Susan Hsieh, she runs the offices, she made us feel very welcomed. We were also lucky to meet the president of KHS Bicycles and their product manager while in the midst of planning their 2008 line up. While in the showroom, we got to see the 2007 models of the Urban X, the Urban Xpress and the new Urban Xcel. All of them geared towards the commuting crowd.

Vince Calvillo showed us around the warehouse facility, RL and I were impressed with all of the bike stuff they have in their warehouse. Not only do they distribute KHS bicycles and Free Agent Bicycles, the also do Kurt Kinetic, Kenda Tires, Cateye, Planet Bike and dozens more.

We are very thankful to KHS for letting us visit their facility, chat with their stuff, take pictures of bikes and warehouse and most of all, making us feel welcomed.

I purchased a red Solo One from Bike Pedalers located in Lincoln, Ne.
The serial # is U50700324. My bike is a size medium. I am 5′ 9″ and
the medium size is a good fit.
My question is regarding the warranty. I did send in my warranty
card via mail back in May. I have not heard back from you guys.
Does KHS send a warranty card to it’s customers?
I really enjoy this bicycle and love to take this bicycle on rides on
the levees at our lakefront area. I have read several comments
from KHS owners on various webcites. I agree with most of the
reports. Several owners blast the seat clamp and say the clamp
is too small. My seat clamp functions properly. After several
attempts I have dialed in my correct seat height and angle of
the WTB saddle.
I remember yesterday a man possibly 1/2 of my age crossed my
path at the foot of a levee. I remained on my saddle and powered
past this cyclist. The reports are correct the Solo One is a great
climber! Also I feel the remarks mentioning that the brakes require
an update to be and incurrate and false. My brakes have always
preformed accordingly.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Turner

I purchased a red 26″ Solo One single speed bicycle. I really enjoy riding
this bike. The handling is very quick and precise. I am also impressed with
the hill climbing ability. When I approach hills and bridges I bear down and
muscle through the incline. The KHS has proven to be a durable performer.
MY bike is also very enjoyable when riding through the busy French Quarter
area in town. I am 5′9″ and my size medium Solo One is a good fit. I have
correctly dialed in my seat and I agree riding a single speed will improve
your over all biking skills.
