2007 City of Angels ride update
Sunday I rode the recreational version of the City of Angels ride. I’m used to riding the ‘advanced ride’ but knee problems kept me from doing it this year. By the way, my knee ailment is a common cycling repetitive injury called ‘Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome‘. With the help of Physical Therapy, icing and limiting my riding time, I should heal in 4-8 weeks.

I rode the KHS F20-R, this is the first time I do some real climbing and a fast descents. My max speed going downhill was 41.7 mph. Not bad for the ‘little bike’. I obviously got a lot of attention and at the same time, riders were impressed by the bike.

Since the guys from KHS Bicycles were there, I kicked back with Vince Calvillo. He’s the guy that allows us to test their bikes. He offered for me to test a nice KHS XC204 that I was eying.
The COA funride is still my favorite, I will be back next year but this time with my tandem riding with my daughter.
