Interbike and more…

We are finally recovering from a server meltdown. I decided to give TheBikeGeek.com a fresh new look. I also attended Interbike for the first time, it was an interesting experience. I can honestly say that there’s was a lot of the same thing, nothing really wow me as revolutionary.
Here are a few pictures of stuff that caught my attention:
Jango Bikes by Topeak:

I really liked the plug and play concept on these bikes. Accessories like racks, bags, lights and locks are easily integrated on built in ‘ports’, simply plug and go play! We will be seeing Jango bikes in early 08.
The Utes
There were a couple of SUB or Sport Utility Bikes. These bikes are designed to carry heavy loads or passengers.

El Mundo by Yuba

Kona Ute
Unfortunately, these bikes are not compatible with any of the Xtracycle accessories.
Here’s my highlight from Interbike:

I had my homemade www.mtnbikeriders.com t-shirt signed by some of the pioneers of Mountain Biking!

Greats like Charley Kelly:

The ever charismatic Gary Fisher

Tom Ritchey and Joe Breeze
I’m really looking forward to next year, this time we are going to attend one of the Dirt Demo days. What sucked from Interbike show was that you could see, touch, and smell the new bikes, but you couldn’t ride them.
